Buck and Annie Williams, Alaskan Hunting and fisshing

In 1979, I was asked by Joe Klutsch if I wanted a job as a Moose packer. In 1980, I got my assistant guide license, and worked for Joe until 1997 when I started my own business. After almost 30 years in the business I still get just as excited now about hunting as I did then.

Annie Williams was born into the guiding business. Her Grandfather Fred Hurley (who was born and raised in Ekwok) was one of the first generation guides born on the Nushagak River). Annie who will graduate High School in 2008 is an avid fly fisherman. and hunter. She will be doing her apprenticing for her father in the 2008 season. This will qualify her to receive her assistance guide license in 2010. She also plans to have her commercial pilots license by then too.
